When I visited Madrid during my time I noticed one area near the city that was amazing. It had vast colours and hanging displays.

It had a blue like display hanging in the distance and various hanging objects with blue and red colors and many others in the spectrum as it appeared as I walked.

It was amazing to look at the vast colours like in game or as as kid walking to another area of Madrid.

It was beautiful, the entire area decorated with the colours, and the walkway was large. The colours as I walked in the distance as if danced with the various colors showing of an tropical ornament hanging in the distance and with red and other hues accenting my walk to the tropical ornament.

It was an area filled with many stores and near Puerta del Sol.

The city was likely decorated for the holidays.

Madrid in general during my visit was amazing. I visited mostly the area around Puerta del Sol.

The area had beautiful fountains and large government buildings. The buildings had tall blinds similar to the colonial or earlier era of the Spanish made with wood.

They as I wrote about earlier remind of an older time when things were different and they have the feel somewhat of the Cuban Havana to me.

The square is large and one of the most famous in Madrid. It is near the center and leads to the other sites nearby including the Royal Palace of Madrid.

Another beautiful site is the Plaza Mayor. It is near the Puerta del Sol. The area is a large square around a statue of a hero on a horse. It is a closed square and the feel is similar to the architecture of the English of the past with the red buildings and the many small square windows arranged symetrically.

It has one area of one of the buildings more inspired by the Spanish with the design of a mosaic, possibly religious or colonial and colours similar to beige inspired by Spain.

It is a beautiful square and during my visit the feel was unique reminding of the colonial past.

As I was leaving I noticed vast architecture of large grids and domes that lead through a tunnel to leave the area.

The entire district near Puerto del Sol is amazing. It is filled with beautiful small streets and during my visit with the sun on me, the feel was as if I was in Spain during the past, the feel being in Spain of the yellow tint of the sun on the buildings and the beige in them that came out. It reminded me I was in the past of the colonial era of Spanish rule.

I walked the streets from the Puerto del Sol to the Cathedral de la Almudena and back with a visit to Plaza Mayor.

I enjoyed my entire time walking the streets and some of them that were really small leading from the main street. The small unique feel of the small alleyways also reminding of the past period in Spain. As I walked I noticed beautful Victorian sytle balconies and architecture that appeared as Roman inspired.

Another amazing part of the my visit to Madrid was El Retiro Park. One of areas of the park is a large pond with boats that can be rented.

I visited during night near 6 pm and I was unable to rent, but I learned that people have fun rowing a boat in a large pond that overlooks sculptures and the architecture. The architecuture is also reminiscent of the much earlier period of the Spanish and Roman inspired.

The pond looks large and I wanted to row the boat a lot. It really looked interesting to row it in the large pond. It looked like a vast area to enjoy.

The renting of the boat is 6 eur or 8 eur depending on the day and the rental I think is 45 minutes.

I really enjoyed the park in general.

I spent time taking pictures of the ancient sculptures. It was also fun to take pictures of the Roman Collesseium inspired monument and its beautiful arch.

I enjoyed sitting on the benches and also looking at the trees. Some of the trees were filled with lights. It appeared as if the trees were in full bloom but with lights that sparkled. Some were white, others were blue and it was beautiful to look at them.

I enjoyed my time resting and I also enjoyed and viewed another large fountain in the area.

The fountains in Spain are usually beautiful with many designs their sculptures with many points of water flowing. It is usually beautiful and fun to watch the refreshing water flowing and to enjoy it.
